Shock and awe. Verizon announces it's going to start charging a fee, there is wailing and gnashing of teeth, and now they have decided not to charge the fee.
Verizon Wireless has decided to scrap the $2 fee it planned to institute for online and telephone single payments less than 24 hours after a wave of backlash and criticism hit the mobile carrier.
Have no fear. Verizon will recoup this fee somewhere, somehow; and it's customers will pay for it.
