We got the tree up today and it only took four trips to the store!
- One to get the tree.
- Two to get new lights
- Three to get more lights.
- And four to get a new topper, hooks, and skirt.
That's how it is when everything you have is old and falling apart, Anyway, we're glad to get it done and Cinderella is having a ball!
I also took some photos of some of our ornaments. I forgot what it was like dragging all the old stuff out and the memories it brings back.
My mom made this one when she was into ceramics.
Another one my mom made. It's dated 1975.
The one in the background is Cinderella's first Christmas. The Pooh bear is an old one that belongs to Ds.
We had a whole set of these when I was a kid. Some of them were bells, some of them were balls. Some of them had glitter on them. They're all glass, and there are only a few left now. Dad was always there supervising when we put the tree up. He loved it when we were together, cooperating, and doing things together.
The Space Shuttle. This one plugs into the lights and lights up.
The 25th anniversary of the landing on the moon. This one lights up and talks. Very cool.
A special ornament from a special friend.
